Editorial transparency

Readers should be able to see how a recommendation was made and how a publication is funded. This page explains the safeguards used to separate commercial relationships from editorial conclusions.

    Ownership and funding

CiberProteção is a project of Cyber Pro SEO LDA. The publication is funded through affiliate commissions and the wider company's resources. When a reader follows an eligible commercial link and buys a product, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to that reader.

Revenue supports research, testing, hosting and editorial maintenance. It does not purchase a score, positive conclusion or guaranteed position.

    Editorial decision-making

Topics are selected according to reader needs, search demand, security relevance and gaps in existing coverage. Rankings are based on category criteria and available evidence. Vendors may provide factual information or product access, but they do not approve copy before publication.

A partner can be ranked below a non-partner. We may also advise readers to use a free option, built-in operating-system protection or no product at all when that is the more proportionate choice.

    How commercial links are handled

Commercial buttons and links use appropriate sponsored attributes. Landing pages and prices can vary by location, currency and campaign; the seller's checkout page is authoritative for the final cost and terms.

We do not intentionally route international readers to a market-specific offer that is unsuitable for their location. English pages use official or explicitly supported international destinations until a verified local partner route is available.

    Corrections and right of reply

We welcome documented corrections from readers, researchers and vendors. Requests should identify the URL, disputed statement and supporting source. We review evidence rather than changing conclusions in response to commercial pressure.

Material corrections are made promptly. A product score or recommendation can change after a security incident, ownership change, policy update, retest or stronger evidence.
